Role Overview  (Service Manager – DG Sets)

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Service Manager to lead our generator service operations. This role requires strong leadership to manage field service teams, handle client escalations, and ensure timely and quality service of DG Sets (Diesel Generators). The ideal candidate should have solid technical knowledge, excellent communication skills in Telugu, Hindi, and English, and the ability to deliver customer satisfaction while managing team performance and service KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Service Operations & Team Leadership

• Supervise day-to-day service operations across multiple sites
• Plan and assign work schedules for technicians and service engineers
• Ensure timely preventive maintenance and quick resolution of breakdowns
• Conduct training and performance evaluations for service staff
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and service standards

Client Handling & Technical Support

• Interact with clients for AMC servicing, complaints, and escalations
• Provide on-site or remote technical guidance when required
• Inspect service quality and provide technical support during critical failures
• Maintain strong relationships with key clients and ensure high service satisfaction

Service Planning & Documentation

• Create preventive maintenance schedules and deployment plans
• Approve job cards, service reports, and expense claims
• Track open service calls, AMC commitments, and warranty obligations
• Ensure proper documentation of all field activities in GEN ERP

Inventory & Coordination

• Coordinate with stores for timely availability of spares and tools
• Verify material consumption reports and prevent wastage
• Support dispatch coordination for spares, tools, and service personnel
• Work closely with other departments like Sales and Projects to align service delivery

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Fluency in Telugu, Hindi, and English
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• In-depth knowledge of DG Sets (mechanical & electrical systems)
• Ability to handle client complaints and site escalations professionally
• Familiarity with GEN ERP, MS Excel, and Google Sheets
• Experience with AMC management, warranty handling, and field operations
• Self-driven with strong troubleshooting and decision-making abilities

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 4–6 years in DG Set service roles, with 1+ years in a managerial role
• Two-wheeler with valid license for field/site visits
